In the condominium category, KLCC emerged as the number one area for aspiring property purchasers – an unexpected observation, considering the economic slowdown. Being the heart of KL, KLCC has established itself as an exclusive area and properties there typically command prices in the range of millions of Ringgit.

Nevertheless, after carrying out a quick check through iProperty.com listings, it was noted that there are numerous new launches of studio units, with prices starting from a very attractive RM460,000. This might explain why KLCC is on the radar of home purchasers – studio units might be considerably smaller, but the affordable entry point offers consumers, millennials especially, with the option to own a home right in the city centre.

In the past year, Ara Damansara has grown to be the most popular target area among those searching for a condominium in Selangor, registering a 95% jump in the number of leads dropped to realtors. KL Sentral and Bangsar South rounded up the top 3 popular areas list.

All three areas are affluent neighbourhoods, thus most of the residential units will bear prices in the higher end of the spectrum. Nevertheless, these hotspots which are also home to many MNCs and big corporations, boast fantastic connectivity and transportation links as well as a slew of lifestyle components including renowned eateries, artisan cafes, malls and independent boutiques.
